Description

Viamineralia had the great opportunity to acquire an old collection - the former owner used to spend his holidays on Iceland and Faroe Islands for decades and had a collection with  mineral only from this one area. In this special auction we will present some of the very best pieces.

Even in this collection consisting of locality-pieces this one was unique - the combination of blocky, lustrous apophyllite crystals with the rare mineral of gyrolite (it developed light spheres, which remind to baryte) set on blue botryoidal chalcedony was the only one. An amazing combination, should be high valued for this unique status, for the rarity of gyrolite and for this very eye-catching assemble. No significant damages to report.
