Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Kadamzhay Mine, Fergana Valley, Osh Oblast, Kyrgyzstan
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
12.5 × 9.9 × 3 cm
Description

The locality is famous for stibnite and what we have here is not just a sample - look at the dimensions! Such size and quality would be even remarkable for Romania - but material from Kdamdzhay is much more rare and very hard to obtain in our days. Some of the crystals show even an iridiscent layer, which makes this very aesthetic piece even more attractive. Most crystals are end-pointed - for sure all relevant ones; so this piece is really in excellent condition damage-wise.
