Baryte & Fluorite

Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Clara Mine, Oberwolfach, Freiburg Region, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
10.7 × 10.4 × 8.3 cm
Description

This is an exceptional combination - the baryte crystals (var. Meissel-Spat) are all sharp terminated and very glossy. They show very good transparency and some sharp zonings - like the most exposed, large main crystal. So really a very impressive group from this famous classic locality - but it has one special feature: it is resting on light bluw fluorite - and this is an exceptional rarity! No significant damages to report, the bottom of the etched fluorite was on the rock.
