Miniature (4.5-7 cm)

4.8 × 3.8 × 3.4 cm
Description

Yes - just a Yaogangxian Fluorite, but a really amazing one. The Fluorite is water-clear - it is like looking in an aquaria, what you see is the inter-grown matrix at the backside. The Fluorite crystal (25mm on edges and 34mm diagonal from corner at the top to corner at the bottom) is highly lustrous and in fact it shows the typical lavender color. The color-effects that gave you the impression of greenish and yellow are caused by the yellow Muscovite underneath the Fluorite. The same intense yellow Muscovite covers the matrix and the edges of the Fluorite are framed with tiny ton-formed (in German „Kanonenspat“) crystals of Calcite. One further detail: there is a thin razor sharp dark purple zoning along the edges and a light sharp zoning more in the center - well visible on the photo with dark background. A very aesthetic, more uncommon and colorful piece!
