Description

Of course we know Stibnite from Nandan - but this nice combination with Calcite is quite uncommon. I did some research and figured out that this material is really rare and hard to obtain. The Calcite reminds to crystals from Daye - it shows two different colors: one area honey yellow, one area dark grey. The faces show several sharp steps and modifications and they are all very glossy. The crystal is completely free-standing - the backside is not inter-grown to the mother rock; the crystal is well developed all around and about 48mm across. The matrix is completely covered with small, glossy and end-pointed Stibnite crystals, Between these crystals you can see a dark, greenish layer, which helps to give even more contrast to the specimen. Well arranged, aesthetic, impressive impact caused by the crystal size and rare. No significant damages to report.
