Anglesite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Mežica Mines, Mežica, Carinthia Region, Slovenia
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7.3 × 5.6 × 5.1 cm
Description

A very rare sample of angelsite (the crystal is about 19mm tall). Mezica is well known for wulfenite, but angelsite represents an out-standing rarity. The crystal is sharp terminated, free-standing and highly lustrous. It shows a great contrast to the dark matrix - it is out of the famous Berger collection and will come with the original Berger label.
