Description

The typlocality is San Cristobal in Mexico, but this one is from the well known locality in Utah, mined in 1998 and represents a extreme rare variety of Quartz. It is a high-temperature modification and only come to exist over 1470°C. This is an out-standing rarity, found at only a fist full localities and only in low number. The specimen developed spheres consisting of tiny milky crystals with a touch of blue.
