Fluorite & Calcite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Summit Cleft, Weißeck, Murwinkel, Tamsweg District, Salzburg, Austria
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
8.2 × 8.6 × 4.5 cm
Description

Weisseck fluorite in finest quality. Most specimen show these amazing internal colors - but only a low number needs only minor backlight and show good quality of faces; pieces like the particular piece are limited, only 10% of all material showed this quality! The crystal shows the typical stepped faces, it wears a hut of tiny calcite crystals and the color is just breath-taking: there are steps of violet and blue, also blue-green zones - now camera can capture all these steps of colors, so I have to note that it is even better in person. The specimen is out of the personal collection of a memebr of the team who worked at the famous summit-cleft! No signficant damages to report, backside was on the rock.
