Fluorite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Okorusu Mine, Otjiwarongo, Otjozondjupa Region, Namibia
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
8 × 7.6 × 5.1 cm
Description

The main crystal is up to 35mm on edges. And with only minor backlight it shows the most incredible and very uncommon color for the locality. It is vitriol blue with just steps of green and zoning of purple. The intensity and teh saturation are just breath-taking. This color came decades ago,  nothing compareable was found since almost 30 years. The termination is razor-sharp, the faces are highly lustrous - a really superb piece, which even looks better in person! No significant damages to report.
