Azurite

Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
La Sal, San Juan County, Utah, United States of America
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.6 × 4.2 × 3.9 cm
Description

The Azurite developed sharp, dark blue, glossy and sharp terminated  crystals. They form a nearly spherical assemble – this Azurite ball is  complete all around and perched on red brown matrix. Minor Malachite  crystals are scattered all over the piece. The Azurite is like you would  expect it from the locality, typical color and shape, but in fine  quality. It is the aesthetic assemble, which make this specimen stand  out the crowd. Hard to capture the tridimensional assemble with the  camera, so I have to note it´s better in person. No significant damages  to report.
