Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Paprok, Kamdesh District, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
4.1 × 3.2 × 2 cm
Description

The specimen consists of inter grown Lepidolite crystals, which show a light lavender color. Sticked between some of the Lepidolite crystals you can see some sharp, lustrous and water-clear Rock Crystals and also some tiny Tourmalines. The main crystal grew through the Lepidolite. It is sharp terminated and highly lustrous. Most of the crystals shows a - for Paprok - uncommon strong green saturation, different to Brazilian green; reminds more to Emerald. Below the end point there is a thin nearly colorless zoning and finally a very strong concentration of purple color at the top.
