Aquamarine

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Shigar District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
Class:
Single Crystal
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
4.6 × 2.6 × 2.2 cm
Description

At the base (about 1 cm) the Beryll is colorless, fuzzy and very strong  etched. So it nearly looks like matrix – in fact the crystal is a  flaoter. The rest of the crystal is sky-blue, very gemmy and of high  clarity. It shows amazing texture caused by etching, but still highly  lustrous all around (I show back and front-side, but hard to decide  which side is more attractive). Although it is etched you still can see  the origin habit of Aquamarine very well. End pointed, perfect quality,  undamaged, no internal cracks.
