Malkhan, Krasnyi Chikoy, Zabaykalsky Krai, Russian Federation

Single Crystal
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6 × 1.7 × 1.5 cm
Description

A bicolor olive green to intense pink-violet colored elbaite crystal. Termination is a combination of pyramid and rhombohedron. The intensity of colors is absolutely outstanding - the green part reminds nearly to chrome tourmalines and the pink-purple upper half is close to rubellite from Brazil. The faces show a very fine luster and the crystal is complete all around, only bottom was on the rock. In the middle - where pink and color collide - you also can see tones of yellow to orange. A wonderful, uncommon and very impressive crystal!
