Description

This is a really fantastic tourmaline! At the base you can see the typical pink phantom, then the intense green zoning and in the upper third this intense blue, which makes Sapo tourmalines so famous - but this crystal has one more, very rare and uncommon color - a dark violet zoning along the end-point! Already blue-caps are very rare and uncommon, but this additional violet zoning is really exceptional and represents an outstanding rarity. The faces including the end-point are sharp terminated and highly lustrous all around, bottom was on the rock. The crystal shows a very good translucency, for the violet zoning it would need minor backlight. A superb crystal even for brazilian standards!
