Floater

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Knappenwand, Zell am See District, Salzburg, Austria
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.8 × 5.3 × 1.8 cm
Description

A wonderful floater from this world-best locality for Epidote. The crystals are highly lustrous and sharp terminated - all of them are end-pointed! The clarity is excellent and you can see the pleochroismus very well - depending on the angle you look at it you can see dark green to intense red-brown color tones. I show front and back side under daylight - no backlight was needed to show the internal colors and the piece looks great in both positions. The assemble is very aesthetic with this exposed main crystal in the center. No significant damages to report.
