Calcite & Pyrite

Floater

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Stan Terg Mine, Trepča, Mitrovica District, Kosovo
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7.3 × 5.4 × 5.2 cm
Description

The specimen is developed as floater. Several calcite crystals of first generation formed a tri-dimensional, very aesthetic assemble. Further you can see a couple of curved, glossy calcite crystals of second generation in snowy white color. A few faces are covered with tiny lustrous pyrite crystals. Although it looks nice on my photos I have to note that it is even much better in person - a really stunning piece from Trepca in excellent condition damage-wise. It was part of a little Treca collection and amoung 50 specimen the very best.
