Strontianite is generally a rare mineral, usually you need a microscope for the crystals or it forms just ungly grey small crystals. Oberdorf on Laming produced the finest specimen of this mineral taht ever exist. Color and crystal size are unique world-wide. The particular specimen shows a more uncommon tabular crystal perched on white matrix. Material from the locality became very rare - field collecting is prohibted since a collector lost his life in one of the old shafts. So no new material can ever be expected.
