This specimen represents a fantastic combination: The calcite group is about 122mm across, it shows a very attractive texture, the faces are partly glossy and the color is brownish. In the center of the calcite crystals you can see inter-grown botryoidal fluorites in dark red color. Botryoidal fluorite generly rare, but in red color it is absolutely exceptional! The calcite group is set on small quartz crystals which show a touch of light blue color. The contarst of these 3 minerals is simply superb, the assemble is really aesthetic, the red spheres of fluorite are an outstanding rarity and the size is really impressive. This is a fantastic specimen in museum size and in fine quality!
