Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.8 × 5.2 × 3.2 cm
Description

Sharp, red-brown crystals with partly glossy faces attractively set on greenish hedenbergite matrix. The main crystals are relatively large, the are exposed and show a really fine contrast. This is one of the really good specimen - and there wer not too much of fine ones. the second photo still shows the same specimen - only rotated and the backside; even in this position it would be very nice. Field collecting is prohibited on Serifos, all we have is a limited number of specimen from old discoveries.
