Rosia Poieni Mine, Mușca, Lupșa, Alba County, Romania
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
4 × 2.7 × 1.5 cm
Description

The best transparent vivianite which were ever found in entire Europe came from Trepca in Kosovo and crystals are usually up to 2 or at least 2,5cm. Also ugly dull and black crystals up to 5 cm were found. So this material is absolutely exceptional and in my evaluation on of the most importnat new discoveries since decades in Europe - this specimen is from a recent (March 2019) discovery in Alba county, Romania. The specimen is well developed all around, faces are very glossy with attractiive texture, and even set on small matrix.
