Calcite & Quartz

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Zederhaus Valley, Lungau, Salzburg, Austria
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
15.5 × 12.3 × 4.9 cm
Description

A very uncommon specimen from alpine clefts from a rare, uncommon locality. On the front-side you can see sharp blades of lustrous calcite (luster on alpine calcite is really not common, clefts are near to surface and so most specimen are etched) in nice contrast to matrix and in excellent condition damage-wise. When you rotate the specimen to the backside you will see uncountable lustrous, sharp and water-clear rock crystals. Should be high ranked for amazing good quality and rare locality.
