Description

This is an amazing specimen for this well known locality. The silhouette is framed with snowy white, lustrous calcite crystals, which also form a really eye-catching pattern all over the display-side. The contrast to dark yellow pyrrhotite is excellent. On the pyrrhotite you can see numerous spheres of rhodochrosite. Usually rhodochrosite from Trepca is nearly colorless und just very light pink or beige. Not so here - all these spheres show an exceptional strong (for Trepca) pink saturation. A reaöly outstanding, beatiful combination for this famous locality, in excellent condition damage-wise.
