Fluorite & Baryte

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Berbes, Ribadesella, Asturias, Spain
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.8 × 5.2 × 3.6 cm
Description

At the base you can see a beige rose of Baryte. On it there is a group of three sharp terminated cubes with modification of rhomb along the edges. The crystals are glossy and show very intense and good color. The translucency isl very good – the photo on light background was done under daylight and you already can see the internal colors – so it doesn´t need strong lamps or so to make the colors visible. The zonings show lavender and dark purple color, alternating with more blue color. The assembel couldn´t be more aesthetic, this is a significant, remarkable and eye-catching piece even for a such prominent locality.
The backside of the piece was contacted – this is common to Berbes, I would say at least 95% are contacted or extracted backside (except tiny crystals under 1cm of second generation). No significant damages to report.
