Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Auernig, Spittal an der Drau District, Carinthia, Austria
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
10.7 × 3.7 × 3 cm
Description

A significant and amazing specimen! The green color is not caused by chlorite, the typical matrix are green-shists and this is the reason for the greenish phantoms and layers. This wonderful cluster consists of several intergrown crystals, formed like bouquet, the faces are highly lustrous and they show a very attractive stratiation. The whole specimen is water-clear and you can see these spectacular phantoms. This is a specimen of high relevance for the locality and compare-able even with good material from Cavrein or Schyn in Switzerland - but much more rare and very hard to obtain! No significant damages to report.
