Description

New material from a recent small discovery at Sicily. New discovereis from large mining areas in China, Africa or US are not really a surprise - but a these new fluorites from an small island, hand-extracted, not from an industrial mine is really an exceptional and relevant discovery! This color is compare-able with really good pieces from Blanchard mines or also to the best pieces from Hesselbach. For Sicily a really important and spectacular novelty. The particular specimen was special - I got some larger crystals, but this smaller one on matrix was the one with the very best quality - it has excellent clarity and it was the only really lustrous crystal. So although it is not very large (19mm on edges), it represents the very best quality from this find. Assemble, clarity and color are better in person!
