Locality:
Bergmännisch Glück Mine, Frohnau, Annaberg-Buchholz, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.2 × 4.3 × 2.5 cm
Description

A very aesthetic sample from this most recent discovery in this famous area during the last several years. The group shows an exposed main crystal (24 mm on edges) at the top. The color is very intense and reminds more to amber! The crystals show sharp blue to violet zoning and minor inter-grown chalkopyrite. The faces of all these sharp terminated crystals are all very glossy. Color and luster are much better than material on average - most specimen were less intense colored and show dull, semi-lustrous or etched faces. That is the difference between good and high valued specimen to cheap, low quality material! What we have here is defenitely best quality.
