This is a specimen from the legendary "Reiter-Cleft", discovered in the early 70ties from the local Strahler Sebastian Brandstätter. He used to collect minerals at most dangerous places and died by an accident in 1972. Violet octahedrons are extremely rare from entire Alps, not even a fist full of localities produced this color. The particular specimen shows lavender colored, sharp terminated crystals uo to 13mm on edges, the contrast to light matrix is very eye-catching. No significant damages to report.
