Description

This is the most amazing specimen from this important new discovery in Indonesia. The spherical aggregates fromed a very tri-dimensional assemble in remarkable dimension. The saturation is exceptional - much darker and much more intense than 90% from the discovery. While much quantity of this material was mined from a large volcanic host deposit, the best material was few and far between; and pieces of this quality in this size were scarcely seen. And all indicators of this particular piece are at best! It is outstanding and looks fantastic in each angle! Most material from the discovery is wong labeled as chalcedony or agate, but analysis by Dr. George Rossman at Caltech concluded these should be labeled as amethyst, and not chalcedony or agate.
