Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Kožlí, Havlíckuv Brod District, Vysočina Region, Czech Republic
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
10.5 × 7.3 × 3.4 cm
Description

The fluorite deposit Kožlí was mined before 1907. The last mining operation was run by the Baťa company from 1943 to 1947. Fluorite from the locality can be light green or dark violet - usually it is massive, only sometimes it developed crystals like the particular specimen. Some parts of vein have fluorite crystals covered by smaller, second-generation quartz crystals. So this specimen represents the very best standard for the locality. There are sharp developed fluorite crystals, covered by sharp sparkling quartz crystals. In person the sharp cubes underneath the quartz crystals are much better visible. Should be high ranked for this rare, historic locality! Great rarity!
