Description

I already expect some emails from "experts" to teach us that this is demantoide or something else - so in advance: this material is analysed and the discovery was published in Lapis magazine January 2013, the discovery was done in June 2016. The Austrian collector and dealer Alfred Schreilechner brought this material to Europe and gave some specimen to the university of Vienna for analyse - so this is for sure and 100% uvarovite. It was a small find and true uvarovite is very rare and hard to obtain - from Andarab it represets exceptional rarity! The isolated, sharp terminated crystal is 6mm across and shows dark green color. Nice contrast, fine sample from this important find.
