Shangulowé Mine, Kambove, Lualaba, DR Congo
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
10.2 × 7 × 4.9 cm
Description

"The discovery of this material was in the mid of the 90s, and although it was a large pocket the number of remarkable specimen on high quality was very low. This specimen shows sharp terminated, lustrous, colorless to pastell green color. The main crystals are up to 33mm – that is very large for this locality!
The assemble is not a boring plate, the large crystals at the top are growing in all directions; some vertical, some rectangular. It looks like a flower. I rotate the specimen to the side (on second image) to give you a better idea of tridimensional assemble.
The specimen is developed as floater and is in excellent condition damage-wise! No chips or contacts! To the left hand side a at the base you can see a little bit of velvety malachite. At the backside there is more of Malachite in the center of Malachite. Hard to photograph, much better in person."
