Description

Gastein Valley is famous for alpine green fluorite octahedrons. There are several discoveries, where fluorite in different colors (mainly different shades of green), sizes and quantities have been found. This specimen comes from the new find which has just been published in the Lapis issue Jg. 42 Nr.10 Okt. 2017. The particular specimen is very uncommon - usually specimen consist of inter grown crystals - isolated octahedrons on matrix are an outstanding exception. Good contrast in union with aesthetic assemble, no significant damages to report.
