Description

A fine and extremely rich "turkey fat" smithsonite from the Philadelphia Mine of Arkansas. Intensely yellow, cadmium-rich smithsonite pseudomorphs after curved, saddle-shaped, dolomite crystals cover the sculptural, siliceous limestone matrix plate. Highly representative of the species and locale but intense in color. Classic material and very rare, only a few available pieces were sold. No significant damages to report.
