Kawah-Ijen Volcano, Java, Indonesia
Class:
Single Crystal
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
9.8 × 3.5 × 2.4 cm
Description

Fantastic bright yellow “naturally formed” sulfur stalactite of the “Blue Flame Volcano” in Java. The liquid sulfur flows out of this volcano and runs over drip edges, where the sulfur cools and hardens into fantastic stalactite formations like this one. The specimen displays a bright lemony yellow color with a waxen luster! In this case, nature has let its imagination run free to create extraordinary formations No significant damage to report! The most attractive specimen I had so far.
