Description

The photos don´t do justice to the specimen, the color and the assemble are absolutely fantastic. The fluorite is 92mm across, the faces show amzing texture and they are very glossy. The translucency is very good - it doesn´t need backlight to show the color; the photos were done under daylight. The center of the crystal is yellow, framed with violet zoning. The outer zone shows spectacular blue, which represents the very best color from this famous mine. The matrix consists of well crystalized sphalerite, which developed uncountable sharp terminated sparkling faces. Even the etched fluorite at the base consits of tiny, glossy faces. The sides of the main crystal are sharp, well developed faces of the cubic habit. Only the backside had no room to grow and developed multiple stepped small faces. The specimen is developed as floater, complete all around. One corner of the fluorite (the lower left one) shows a small damage and the there is a small chip along one edge. Overall it is in very good condition and represents a mayor piece of fluorite generally - we think the very best fluorite we evee offered on e-rocks.
