Fluorite & Baryte

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Cäcilia Mine, Wölsendorf, Bavaria, Germany
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
11.5 × 6.8 × 4.1 cm
Description

Baryte in this size and quality is really uncommon for Cäcilia mine. The baryte edveloped sharp light crystals, most of them free-standing! They are resting on on well arranged fluorite crystals, which show very good translucency. The first photo shows the specimen under daylight, for the second image I used minor backlight. Hard to photograph, much better in person.
