Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Kristallwand, Frosnitz Valley, Lienz District, Tyrol, Austria
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7.7 × 2.4 × 3 cm
Description

This specimen is from a small single find in Tyrol - which is quite an uncommon locality for Titanite. Most Titanites are from Salzburg, for Tyrol it is very rare. Also the cognac-like color is unusual, most Titanites are green - so in anyway an exceptional specimen. The lustrous, sharp terminated crystals are scattered all over the elongated, elegant matrix. No significant damages to report.
