Fluorite & Baryte

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Marienschacht Mine, Wölsendorf, Bavaria, Germany
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
6.8 × 7.2 × 3.5 cm
Description

The specimen shows a very tridimensional assemble! The fluorite is formed like an "L", the vertical fluorite group is also complete backside. The color of the razor sharp terminated crystals is dark violet, which shows a nice contrast to yellow fluorite at the base. Set in the center you can see an isolated, exposed baryte rose, which is about 3cm across. Rarely I saw such an aesthetic fluorite-baryte combination from Marienschacht! In excellent condition damage-wise.
