Rhodochrosite & Fluorite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Sunnyside Mine Group, Bonita Peak, Gladstone, San Juan County, Colorado, United States of America
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
4.2 × 3.4 × 2 cm
Description

The first very special indicator is the luster of all these sharp terminated crystals. Most of this material shows only dull faces or just satiny luster. The camera was npt able to capture luster in the very best way, but in person all faces are really highly lustrous. The assemble is very aesthetic and the combination with pale green fluorite (which developed sharp micro steps) makes the specimen even more special. The color is pretty pink, the contrast is fine and the combination is rare. A very fine miniature from this famous, classic locality.
