Description
Locality:
Weißeck Area, Murwinkel, Lungau, Salzburg, Austria

Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)

Description

A very good specimen from the most recent discovery in the North slope of Weisseck mountain. The crystals were protected by perma frost and so the crystals are all of satiny luster (from all other finds crystals are etched and dull). The complete lower area is covered by very light calcite crystals (also these crystals show only minor etching, also satiny luster). Whit minor backlit you can see light blue-green and lavender internal color of the fluorite crystals. Hard to photograph and much better in person. No significant damages to report, backside was on the rock.
