Description

First I have to mention, that smoky quartz from Austrian Alps is much more rare than from Switzerland. In Switzerland there are much more localities and clefts and everyone can buy a permit for field collectins. In Austria Alps you have much less clefts and most localities are inside the National Park "Hohe Tauern", where field collecting is prohibited. So you should rank this crystal much higher than material from Switzerland, caused by it´s rarity. The crystal is water-clear, sharp terminated and faces are very glossy. Also they show a very nice structure, like horizontal stripes. The end points are powdered with minor greenish chlorite. No significant damages to report, well crystalized all around.
