Description

Really an outstanding specimen. There are several sharp terminated, water-clear crystals - all highly lustrous, freestanding and formed like a star. The crystals are growing in all directions, really a superb assemble, which couldn´t be more aesthetic. The area is in the national park "Hohe Tauern", it is prohibited to dig there. Only a few local collectors have a permit from the goverment and so alpine crystals from Austria Alps are much more rare than from Switzerland or France. So only for the rare locality it should be high ranked. But it is not just the rarity, which makes the specimen so special. This amazing quality, the incredible brilliance and the undamaged condition are really remarkable. The tridimensional visual impact is much better in person and the contrast to red-brown layer gives this typical alpine character to the piece. No significant damages to report, bottom was on the rock.
