Stibnite Calcite & Boulangerite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Herja Mine, Chiuzbaia, Baia Mare, Maramureș County, Romania
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.2 × 5 × 2.9 cm
Description

The "matrix" consists of intergrown spheres of calcite. All these spheres are very glossy; their front-side is white, but the backsidde is black - caused by boulangerite inclusions. This is really a great rarity! But there is even a lustrous spray of stibnite attachted. So this specimen is for sure not just rare, it is eye-catching, aesthetic and on highest quality. Developed as floater, no significant damages to report.
