Description

A dramatic and showy specimen of lustrous, rust-brown andradite crystals perched on columnar, green hedenbergite from Seriphos Island, Greece. Garnet are very rare for the locale, and this is Old and classic material, no longer available. Even just red crystals are rare, but a specimen like the particular one with this sharp dark zoning along all edges is really exceptional and very hard to obtain! The contrast and the aesthetic assemble with islolated groups are some single crystals make this specimen even more spectacular. In excellent condition damage-wise.
