Fluorite & Quartz

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Cavnic Mine, Maramureș County, Romania
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
11.2 × 7.9 × 9.4 cm
Description

This is an exceptional specimen. Fluorite is generally rare for Cavnic and for the entire region - but a crystal with 6,3 cm in simply outstanding. The frontside is even very lustrous. Please note, the right hand side of the crystal is not damaged - it just had no more room to grow and so it is contacted. The crystal shows light blue color. All over the dark matrix several milky quartz crystals are scattered. The assemble with this huge isolated crystal is very good. Again - a fluorite crystal in this dimension is an exceptional rarity for Romania. No significant damages to report.
