Description

A very impressive, huge and massive smoky quartz crystal. Smoky quartz from Austria is very rare, much more rare than from Alps of Switzerland. Yes, you can have a similar crystal from Switzerland in better quality - but there must be hundreds or even thousands of them. But a crystal in this dimension and quality in more or less impossible to obtain. So again - i cannot rank it high enough for Carinthia or even Austria generally. Some faces are very glossy, some on satiny luster, which brings a lot fo contrast to the crystal. All faces show a very beautiful texture. The lower base is lighter, nearly grey. Most of the crystal is water clear and shows light smoky color. A little bit of matrix is intergrown at the bottom. Minor nicks are present, but overall it is in excellent condition.
