Description

First of all: the photos are done under daylight, colors are 100% naturally. But still photos don´t do justice to the piece. The assemble consists of well developed spheres and is much more 3-dimensional in person. The specimen is out of a small discovery by an Austria Strahler, found in summer 2014. The locality is in the middle of nowhere. When specimen were found they were crusted with mud and dirt. There is no water at the locality to clean specimen and only 10% of the whole quantity show these amazing colors. So the finder have to transport the whole material and do selection of good pieces after cleaning process. Imagine - 100kg rocks to get 10 fine specimen. The goethite developed spheres with metallic luster, which show a wide range of colors. There is red, yellow, violet, green and blue and many different steps of all these colors and a large area shows silver to light red like color tones. A very eye-catching, well formed and undamaged specimen!
