Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Kristallwand, Frosnitz Valley, Lienz District, Tyrol, Austria
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
9.1 × 5.7 × 4.8 cm
Description

This is an oustanding rarity from only one cleft, discoverd only 2 month ago. The locality is not located in Pinzgau, where titanite usally were found. This is East Tyrol and Kristallwand produced only very low quantity of titanite, most material of poor quality and a main crystal in this dimension (mc 1,3x0,6cm)mm is already a very good dimension for Kristallwand. Now about quality - it couldn´t be better. The crystal shows incredible luster, cognac like color and the contrast with dark green (caused by Chlorite) matrix is simply amazing. No significant damages to report.
