Description

This is a petrified variety of conifer, named "Woodworthia". The specimen is about 200 millions of years old (from late Triassic period) and represent a great rarity. Gokwe in Simbabwe is the only locality worldwide, which ever produced material of relevance. The center is some kind of blue-green, along the outer zones it shows more red colors. The tree-rings are clear visible, which is important for the quality and the value if petrified wood. The specimen is well cut and polished.
