Sphalerite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Tri-State District, Kansas, United States of America
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
8.7 × 5.6 × 3.6 cm
Description

Famous US-classic! This specimen shows several isolated crystals or small groups attractively set on light brown-yellow matrix (caused by uncountable tiny siderite crystals). The sphalerite crystals are very glossy and they show amazing texture. Very hard to photograph and much better in person. Sphalerite is more lustrous as seen on my photography and the assemble is also much more tridimensional and more aesthetic in person. Undamaged.
